Coaching Through Pressure, Performance & Transition

Have you been carrying a goal or a sense of “something needs to change” for a while, but haven’t been sure how to begin? I offer coaching to support people navigating pressure, expectation, and change, particularly women and young people in sport and high-performance environments. This isn’t counselling or therapy, and if that’s what you need, I’ll put you in touch with someone who can help.

This work is not about fixing people. It’s about helping them build clarity, confidence, and systems that support both wellbeing and performance.

Coaching for Women & Girls in Sport

I work with girls and young women navigating:

  • Performance pressure
  • Confidence and self-belief
  • Identity and comparison
  • Balancing sport, education, and life

The focus is on developing skills early, it’s not on not perfection, but self-trust, structure, and resilience.

“A Performance Sport Student Mentorship program is in place in the King’s Hospital School to provide additional support to those students who excel at an early age and progress to selection for performance level teams/programmes. These students typically have a high demand on their time due to; training, competition and travelling load, and may therefore find it difficult to co-ordinate their school and other lifestyle commitments with their sporting commitments. Emma and I have conducted a series of individual meetings with a dozen performance sports students and their parents and every student left expressing a feeling of greater control over their own commitments alongside a series of action points in order to further minimise stressors and maximise performance. This programme would not be possible without Emma’s expertise.”

Coaching Through Career & Life Transitions

I also work with people at moments of career transition, decision-making, and reorientation. Sometimes that transition is planned. Sometimes it arrives unexpectedly. Either way, it often brings uncertainty, pressure, and a level of stress that quietly spills into work, relationships, and wellbeing.

I’ve spent my career working with high performers in sport, education, and leadership, and one thing is consistently true: people don’t struggle because they lack ability or ambition. They struggle because navigating change alone is hard, particularly when identity, confidence, and direction are in flux.

Support is available for:

  • Athletes and professionals navigating change
  • Identity shifts
  • Uncertainty, burnout, or loss of direction
